What types of temperature hazards are potentially present on offshore locations?

Temperature hazards include equipment or conditions where extreme heat or cold may be present. Some examples include:

  •     Open flames or ignition sources like during welding or cutting

  •     Hot/cold liquids or gases like from high temperature wells

  •     Friction in improperly lubed/oiled equipment

  •     Steam

  •     Weather and environmental conditions like heat during the summer or cold in the winter
